 About pancake:

Pancakes are widely thought of as an American breakfast staple, but there are several versions of this delectable dishall over the world.

Today, we have blueberry pancakes, Japanese pancakes, and even keto-friendly pancakes available at different restaurants. The base recipe may be the same but little tweaks and touches have changed the experience of pancakes according to various cultures.

It shouldn't be surprising that pancakes have been a breakfast staple for several cultures over the years. There are evidence that shows us that pancakes could be have been around in the stone Age, over 30000 years ago.

There are some human remains that go back more than 5,000 years; these were found to have the remnants of a pancake meal in the stomach. It's estimated that cooks in the Stone Age made pancakes from ferns and cattails, mixed into a batter with water and baked on greased rocks. These pancakes were probably very different from the modern versions we have today; however, the main idea of a flat-fried batter cake was the same.

Going forward to Ancient Rome and Greece, we know that the pancakes in this culture were made of wheat flour, curdled milk, honey, and olive oil.

Even the Ancient Greek poets, such as Magnes and cretinous, mentioned pancakes in their works. The pancakes during the English Renaissance were flavored creations; using sherry, spices, apples, and rosewater for a unique taste.

Video of this recipe:

1. In a pan add 1/4 cup of milk.
2. Add 1/4 tsp of white vinegar.
3. You can add all-purpose flour, wheat flour, or oats flour you want.
4. 1/2 spoon of baking powder and 3/4 spoon of baking soda.
5. Add 1/2 spoon of melted butter.
6. Just mixt them once. Note - Do you not overmix the batter otherwise the pancake will never be soft.
7. Adjust the consistency by adding milk but remember we want a thick batter.
8. Add 2 spoons of sugar.
9. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
10. In a hot pan add the batter. But once the batter touches the pan turn the flame low. Do not add butter or anything to grease the pan unless you don't have a nonstick pan because it will allow you to get an even color on the pan.
11. cook both the sides and serve it with maple syrup on top.
