How to make Indian style dumplings(momos)

Guess what today I am sharing you my ultimate Indian style dumplings recipe and just like always I will also give some of my tips and tricks to make this recipe super easy and I will also tell you different types momos around the world.





Let's start with the korian dumplings

Korian dumplings are know as Mandu. It is like Korian version of what lot of America know as Pot sticker.

The main ingredient of this recipe is Tofu, ground beef and ground pork.

To make the filling of these dumplings all you have to do is is mix tofu, ground beef and ground pork with scallions, onion and kimchi and season it with some salt and pepper. Mix it and wrape them in dumpling dough. And boil them in Water and serve with dipping sauce you like

Chinese dumplings

Chinese dumplings are also know as Guotie and pot sticker.

The main ingredient of this recipe is Nappa cabbage.

To start with Chinese dumplings in 1 cup of Nappa cabbage add same salt and let it sit for few minutes. After few minutes draw moisture out of the cabbage because we don't want too much moisture in the dumplings because they will be soggy and it'll fall apart. 

Add ground beef some shitake mushrooms scallions little bit of seasme oil, ginger and add some salt and pepper. In a dumpling wrapper add the filling and wrap them.

In a Pan Add a little bit oil and pan fry them and add a little water and cover up the pan and let them steam until done.


Let's make Indian style Dumplings (also know as Momos)




1. In a grinder add 1 cup of semolina ( ofcourse the name of this blog is stayhealthywithlv it should be healthy ain't I right).
2. Add grinder semolina in a mixing bowl.
3. Add 1/2 spoon of salt and by adding water make the dough of it.
4. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
5. In a pan add 1 spoon of oil.
6. Add 1 green chilli and onion and cook until onion turns translucent.
7. Add grated cabbage and saute for few minutes.
8. Add 1 spoon of salt, 1/2 spoon of red chilli powder and 1/2 spoon of black pepper.
9. After few minutes turn off the stove and let it cool.
10. After few minutes knead the dough for few minutes
11. Roll the Ball in the shape of a circle
12. Now add the cabbage mixture and change the shape to the momos
13. After that steam them for 5 minutes
